Faridpur Molasses Shop has been producing authentic Bangladeshi jaggery and molasses products since 1978. Our region, the Faridpur-Madaripur belt, is famous for its ancient date palm groves, and the art of collecting sap (tari) from these trees and boiling it down to jaggery is a tradition that dates back centuries. Each winter, our trained 'shiuli' (sap collectors) climb the date palms at dawn to collect the fresh sap before fermentation begins — this ensures the sweetest, most fragrant jaggery.

The Toddy Palm Jaggery — Tari Gur (250g) is Raw Cane Molasses (Chhatu), processed using traditional clay pots and wood fires that give our jaggery its distinctive colour and complex caramelised flavour. Nutritional highlights: Natural sugars: 65–70g/100g, Iron: 2.8mg/100g, Calcium: 83mg/100g, Potassium: 1050mg/100g. A natural sweetener rich in minerals, our jaggery is an excellent alternative to refined sugar in tea, sweets (pitha, halwa, payesh), and cooking. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
