Whole Wheat

Khansland Whole Wheat is organically cultivated hard red wheat harvested at full maturity, retaining all three components of the complete grain — the fibre-rich bran, the nutrient-dense germ, and the starchy endosperm — in their natural proportions. This whole-grain integrity makes our wheat fundamentally different from refined white flour.

Ground fresh in a home stone mill, it produces wholemeal atta flour far superior in flavour, nutrition, and freshness to any packaged flour — ideal for chapati, paratha, roti, and traditional halwa. Soaked overnight and lightly boiled, the whole berries can be used in sprouted grain porridge.

Traditionally, Bengali households kept whole wheat for winter gom-er halwa — a slow-cooked wheat porridge enriched with ghee and jaggery believed to warm the body during cold months. This dish requires the whole grain's starch and germ oils to achieve its characteristic richness and is practically impossible to make well with commercial flour.
