Sesame Oil

Khansland Sesame Oil is cold-pressed from organically grown sesame seeds using a single-pass stone press that extracts the oil without heat, preserving the seeds' natural sesamol, sesamin, and sesamolin antioxidants, along with the oil's characteristic deep, roasted, nutty aroma that makes it one of the most prized culinary oils in South and East Asian cooking.

Our sesame oil is not the pale, refined commercial variety — it is a full-flavoured, slightly golden oil with genuine sesame fragrance and a depth of taste that adds complexity and richness to every dish. Used as a finishing drizzle over cooked lentils or dal, it adds a beautifully nutty, warming note that elevates the simplest preparations.

In traditional Bengali cooking, sesame oil is most celebrated in the preparation of tiler mishti — sesame-based sweets including tiler naru (sesame laddoo) and til-gur mixture that is a winter breakfast in many households. Its high smoke point also makes it an excellent cooking oil for frying and stir-frying. Sesame oil is also one of the most valued traditional oils for hair and scalp care in Bangladesh.
