Coconut Oil

Khansland Coconut Oil is virgin oil extracted from fresh, mature coconut meat by cold pressing without any application of heat, bleaching, or deodorisation. This minimal processing preserves the oil's full complement of medium-chain triglycerides — primarily lauric acid, caprylic acid, and capric acid — along with its characteristic fresh, tropical coconut fragrance.

Virgin coconut oil remains solid below approximately 24°C and melts instantly on contact with the skin or in warm dishes, making it uniquely versatile. In cooking, it is an excellent medium for light sautéing, baking, and preparation of coconut-based curries, sweets, and rice dishes. Its mild flavour complements fish curries, vegetable preparations, and coconut milk-based gravies without overpowering other ingredients.

The lauric acid content — comprising approximately 50% of its fatty acid profile — has attracted significant research attention for its antimicrobial properties. Traditionally, coconut oil has been used in Bangladesh for centuries as a daily skin moisturiser, hair oil, and for oil pulling — a traditional oral hygiene practice. Our oil is sourced from organically certified coconut growers and pressed in small batches, completely free from hydrogenation, chemical refining, and additives.
